WAEC insists 2018 WASSCE Registration Fee is N13,950

-  WAEC registration fees is N13,950 for both the WASSCE for School Candidates, 2018 and the WASSCE for Private Candidates, 2018-First Series.

-  Registration for the WASSCE for Private Candidates, 2018-First Series is ongoing.

-  Entry closes for first series private candidates on Friday, January 12, 2018 by 12 noon.

-  2017 WAEC GCE withheld results to know fate in April.

WAEC insists 2018 WASSCE Registration Fee is N13,950

The West African Examination Council - WAEC has dismissed claims from several quatres that the board is charging the sum of Thirty Thousand Naira (N30,000) for 2018 WASSCE for School Candidates.

According to a tweet from the councils official handle, @waecnigeria, "The registration fees for both the WASSCE for School Candidates, 2018 and the WASSCE for Private Candidates, 2018-First Series are the same: N13,950."

 

 

Beginning from 2018, WAEC said it will conduct two (2) WASSCE for Private Candidates. The First Series examination will hold January/February, 2018 while the Second Series examination will hold August/September, 2018.

Registration for the WASSCE for Private Candidates, 2018-First Series is ongoing at the sum of 13,950 Naira (excluding bank commission of 500 Naira) and entry closes on Friday, January 12, 2018 by 12 noon.

Concerning 2017 WAEC GCE withheld results, the examination board informed that "Withheld results of the WASSCE for Private Candidates, 2017 can either be cancelled or released based on the decision of the Nigeria Examinations Committee (NEC). The NEC will meet March 28-29, 2018."

"Since the NEC meeting is very close to month end, the processing and cancellation or release of the withheld results will be in April."
